A Bouquet of Freshly Sharpened Pencils

It was open house night at my boys' preschool tonight, and let me tell you...I am SO excited for them to start! This will be Tyler's (my youngest) first preschool experience, and I really thought I'd have some anxiety about it, since my previous experience with Cody was FULL of it. Honestly, I think this time will be a breeze (fingers crossed, legs crossed, eyes crossed, FULL BODY CROSSED).

If you'd have asked me 2 months ago whether I was excited or not, my answer probably would've been MUCH different, seeing as how Tyler wouldn't let me leave him TO USE THE BATHROOM, let alone go anywhere else without him. But he's a changed Mann now (Get it? Last name is Mann? Anyone? No? Okay, moving on). The clingy moments are few and far between, and yes, I do miss it from time to time (I'm not made of stone people!), but for the most part it has been a-mazing (mostly the using the bathroom by myself - that is MAGICAL!).

Starting next week, I will have 12, count 'em 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 hours a week ALL TO MYSELF. Like me with my new best friend Wi-Fi...THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS PEOPLE!!!

  2. Time alone is the best! And have I already mentioned that my son is named Cody, too? I'm sure I have. Anyhow, make every one of those 12 hours count!

  4. I have to admit I'm jealous of your free time. Get this...I have one in 2nd grade, one in pm kindergarten and one in am preschool. It's a zoo! It's going to take awhile to adjust.

  5. Wi-Fi is just a new level of amazing. Congratulations on your free time and the ability to be anywhere in your home and still be connected to the internet.

    Also: I checked out your husband's great website It is so cool that you both have an entrepreneurial spirit! Keep up the (hard) good work.

  6. Diane - yes, I'm very excited about the Wi-Fi. My friends who've had it for a while think I'm insane. I'm not correcting them at this point :)
    Susan - Yes, it is. And I LOVE that you have a Cody :) That was the first and only name I had in my head if we were going to have a boy, and my husband didn't argue! And I WILL be making those hours count....buuuhlieve me!
